The Clean Fuels Foundation and the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) are launching a consumer awareness campaign to get people to use ethanol-blend gasoline. Such blends can be used in so-called
FlexFuel cars and trucks that can burn fuel that comprises up to 85% ethanol.
"Breaking through the blend wall begins with the 8 million FlexFuel vehicles on the road today, and reaching
these drivers to make sure they know they can use ethanol blends up to 85%," said Agriculture Under Secretary for Rural Development Dallas Tonsager, in a statement.
The campaign's initial
efforts will be in Ohio, Florida, Georgia, Texas, Kansas, Nebraska, and the Washington, D.C.
