The Coca-Cola Company's Minute Maid Pulpy brand has reached more than $1 billion in global retail sales--making it the 14th billion-dollar brand for Coca-Cola overall and the company's third
billion-dollar brand in the juice/juice drinks category.
Minute Maid Pulpy, launched in China in 2005, is now a leading juice brand in 18 countries on three continents, including
Indonesia, Taiwan, Philippines, Thailand and India. Last year, it was introduced in Algeria, Malaysia, Singapore, Vietnam and Mexico (where it is sold under the name Valle Pulpy). More
expansion is planned for 2011.
Coca-Cola is now the world's largest juice/juice drinks maker/marketer. Its other $1-billion brands in this category are Minute Maid and Simply.
Company executives stressed that Pulpy's growth and performance demonstrate Coca-Cola's ability to "rapidly scale innovation from any part of the world."
