The California Milk Processor Board (CMPB), the creator and owner of the "Got Milk? tagline, has signed a licensing agreement to give La Leche League International permission to use the slogan "Got
Breast Milk?" La Leche League promotes breastfeeding among mothers worldwide, and will be able to use the tagline in its promotional and merchandising materials.
The La Leche League Web site
is already selling licensed items with the tagline and others, like baby onesies, toddler shirts, tote bags and mugs will be on sale soon, per a release. The CMPB will give 50% of royalties from the
sale to the La Leche League.
"Got Milk?" is a familiar tagline to families everywhere," said Barbara Emanuel, executive director of La Leche League International, in a statement. "We are
privileged to have this partnership and sales proceeds will help provide resources for families to make informed choices when it comes to breastfeeding."
