Taxi, the Canadian-based creative shop that became part of WPP Group's Y&R brands last November, has beefed up its digital group with the addition of Sean McDonald and Blaine van Bruggen to the new
positions of director, digital strategy and digital account director, respectively.
McDonald was previously director of social strategy and innovation at Veritas Communications and van
Bruggen was an account director at WPP's Ogilvy & Mather. Taxi now has more the 60 dedicated digital staff, with services including media, user experience, Web design, mobile marketing, and retail
solutions.
Recent Taxi digital work has included Cadbury's Goo!, Canadian Tire's "Bring It On." WestJet's site redesign, and Telus' "Clear and Simple
Device Upgrades" campaign, and Telus' Pink social media program, that grew the client's Facebook fan base to more than 500,000. --Les Luchter
