MLB.com is touting big traffic and usage gains online and on its mobile properties. The official site of Major League Baseball said today it drew the most page views in its history on April 20 as fans
visited 142.3 million pages. The site has averaged 11.5 million visitors per day since during first 20 days of the 2011 season, up 17% from a year ago.
On mobile devices, MLB.com sites have
drawn 992 million page views, nearly tripling from a year ago. The latest version of its At Bat application, meanwhile, has been accessed 35 million times since Opening Day. The app, which sells for
$15, has been opened an average of 1.75 million times a day, more than double last year's figure. Read more here.
