Sony is getting into the tablet game. The company on Tuesday in Tokyo introduced two new tablets that will go on sale worldwide this September. The tablets, one with a 9.4-inch display, the other with
two 5.5-inch displays, are intended to bring together its technological prowess with its entertainment properties, according to the
Associated Press.
The tablets will run Google's Android 3.0 operating system, which has been code-named Honeycomb. The
tablets will connect to Sony's cloud-based library of content, which will include music, movies and games.
