Stewart: Need to "Push the Limit Beyond Not Sucking"

Summit emcee Morgan Stewart, CEO of consultancy Trendline Interactive, says there is a "surprising amount of innovation" going on the email marketing space. But, he suggests there needs to be a better way to inspire consumers and not frustrate them.

Consumers who speak about email never speak about positives of relevant email, if anything they comment on irrelevant email. "That's a problem," Stewart says.

"Relevance is sort of the criterion for not having email that sucks," he says.

Email marketers need to strive to "push the limit beyond not sucking to something that actually makes our customers lives better."
