Social content syndicator Clearspring Technologies has raised $20 million in a fourth round funding led by Institutional Venture Partners (IVP) and including New Enterprise Associates, Novak
Biddle Venture Partners, and AOL co-founder Steve Case. That brings the company's total raised to date to about $58 million.
Clearspring's AddThis social bookmarking service is used by 9
million sites and reaches a monthly audience of more than 1 billion worldwide. The company's Audience Platform allows marketers to leverage the aggregate social data from AddThis to target advertising
in real-time by interest, influence and intent. Clearspring plans to use the new capital to speed development of new publisher and ad products and finance strategic acquisitions. Read more here.
