Verizon Wireless will be moving away from unlimited data plans this summer, instead offering tiered pricing plans that charge heavy users more, according to Reuters.
Quoting chief financial
officer Fran Shammo, the company will offer wider options (such as family plans) for data. "We had individual minutes for individual users. Then we eventually got to what we call family share where
everyone in the family shares the same minutes," Shammo told the news organization.
According to the report, Verizon will also get the newest iPhone at the same time and the same global capabilities as AT&T.
