Baltimore Prepares For Big Summer

Baltimore is getting ready for its biggest summer in many moons. The city will host the NCAA Lacrosse Final Four, the 136th Running of the Preakness Stakes and the first ever Baltimore Grand Prix auto race that will convert the downtown to a race circuit for top open-wheel auto racers in the IZOD IndyCar series.

The city is preparing with new programs for the Visitor and Convention Centers, respectively, as part of Visit Baltimore's 2011 Festive Summer agenda.

Visit Baltimore, the official marketing organization for the city Tom Noonan, president and CEO of Visit Baltimore

is installing a series of LCD touchscreen lkiosks, and ten customized, HD LCDs with media players. The upgrades include a Visit Baltimore movie and a Visit Baltimore iPad app.
