Macy's Courts Foodies With Culinary Road Trip

  • June 23, 2011
Macy's has kicked off a "Macy's Chefs A-Go-Go" promotion, a national food truck tour that will showcase its Culinary Council. As the Macy's-branded food truck rolls through such cities as Miami, New York, Boston, Washington, D.C., Chicago, Seattle, Portland, San Francisco and Los Angeles, its star chefs will prepare favorite summer recipes. While the food will be handed out for free, the store is hoping to generate donations for Feeding America, the largest hunger relief organization in the U.S. along the way. Among the chefs: Cat Cora, Todd English, Marcus Samuelsson, and Rick Bayless. The Cincinnati-based retailer is also linking the tour to it Facebook and Twitter efforts for special freebies.
