More than half (53%) of 2,400 mobile users surveyed by mobile content provider Myxer in the second quarter said they had made a purchase with their device. Within that grouop, 19% said they made two
to five mobile purchases a month, and 16%, 10 purchases. Digital music accounted for nearly seven in 10 (68%) of transactions.
Convenience was cited by users as the top factor (37%) in using
their phones to shop, followed by price (24%), and the "cool" factor (22%). Younger mobile users (18-24) preferred carrier-based billing while those 35-54 preferred credit cards. Read more here.
