XBox Pushes Up Microsoft Revenue

Microsoft's entertainment division, led by the XBox and Kinect business, grew sales by 30%, compared with the year-ago quarter. The company reported that quarterly net income rose to $5.9 billion, or 69 cents per share, on $17.4 billion in sales. Compare that with net income of $4.5 billion, or 51 cents per share, on $16.0 billion in sales for the year-ago quarter. The Online Services Division that includes Bing grew 17% for the quarter. --Laurie Sullivan
