Brian Fays, senior vice president at MTV Networks, has left the company following an investigation into his allegedly accepting millions of dollars of kickbacks, according to the
Hollywood
Reporter.Fays handled direct-response advertising and paid programming for Viacom's 17 ad-supported cable networks.
According to sources cited by the paper, Fays allegedly "offered
discounted advertising to certain direct-response sellers," allegedly seeking "kickbacks in cash -- sometimes delivered in briefcases."
