AliasDisney-ABC Domestic Television has struck an extension to two digital television deals with Netflix and Amazon.

The substance of the agreement comes with similar additions of older series and recent episodes of existing series from the ABC network and cable networks Disney Channel and ABC Family.

Netflix extends its two-year agreement with Disney-ABC Television, bringing a bunch of older series, such as "Switched at Birth" and "Alias."  as well as past-season episodes of Disney Channel animated series "Kick Buttowski." Episodes from Disney and ABC series are be made available to Netflix 30 days after the final episode of each season airs.

The extension is good news for Netflix, which has endured big stock price drops.

Amazon will add more than 800 library episodes to its Amazon Prime, a commercial-free, instant access service, including ABC shows such as “Grey’s Anatomy” and “Lost."

Amazon''s deal also adds prior seasons of Disney Channel’s popular animated series “Phineas & Ferb," ABC Family’s “The Secret Life of the American Teenager” and recently aired episodes from the summer, such as prior seasons of Marvel’s animated shows “Spider-Man,” “X-Men Evolution,” “Thor & Loki: Blood Brothers” and “Iron Man: Extremis."O lder series such as “Felicity,” which aired on the WB, are also part of the deal.

Amazon Prime says it members can watch these TV shows on loads of different devices, including the recently announced Kindle Fire. Amazon says it has nearly 13,000 movies and TV shows. Analysts estimate Netflix has more than 17,000 films and shows.

Financial terms of the two deals were not disclosed. Last week, Netflix last week said that its third-quarter earnings jumped 65%, but also that it lost roughly 800,000 subscribers during the period. Amazon said its third-quarter earnings plunged 73% because of its increased spending.
