Local Advertising Expected To Dip

After seemingly getting back on track in 2010, local advertising is suffering this year, enduring its second dip in the past two years. BIA/Kelsey released a new forecast that predicts that local advertising will be down 1% this year, falling from $137.2 billion last year to $135.9 billion this year, reports Media Life. An earlier study from MagnaGlobal  predicted local advertising would decline 1.1 percent this year, revising an earlier forecast that called for 0.5 percent growth.
