Barely a year and a half on the job, MT Carney, president of marketing for Walt Disney Studios, looks to be on the outs -- this according to The Wrap.
The former senior executive at media/creative agency at Naked Communications, looks to be replaced says the story, with a search under way for her replacement.
Under her run, Carney has only produced one real big hit -- that of the recent Muppets movie which posted a recent hefty $41.5 million in revenues this past weekend for the key holiday season period.
Carney joined Disney in April 2010 after a long run at media agency Naked Communications. Walt Disney Studios chief Rich Ross picked Carney because she had an "outsider" perspective. But now that "outsider" patina have proven to be liability when dealing with Hollywood's fast moving movie marketing efforts.
