If media coverage is any indication, Oprah Winfrey's media star is definitely falling, according to an analysis of the past five years of coverage surrounding Oprah Winfrey by HighBeam Research. The analysis indicates that Oprah’s popularity peaked in 2009 with 23,188 media hits.
"Despite starting her own network and retaining other media outlets, Oprah’s media attention dropped dramatically after the end of her show to just over 6,600 media hits so far for 2011. That’s less than half the attention she received just a year before," the report finds.
