Ad Industry Workforce Expands 2.8% In U.K.

The U.K. may have been one of the most severely affected of the major advertising markets during the global economic recession, but it nonetheless managed to boost the size of its advertising industry workforce by 2.8% in 2011, according to stats released this morning by trade group the Institute of Practitioners in Advertising. The IPA said member agencies increased their total workforce from 18,843 in 2010 to 19,372 in 2011.
