The Internet pioneer (since 1997) and favorite online-chat service just got a major makeover. From desktop to mobile, AOL Instant Messenger is now integrated with Google Chat, Yahoo! Messenger, and Skype—working across Android and iOS platforms. The new AIM app incorporates some of the features that made the original so simple and fun to use, plus new features like group messaging, location, and photo and video sharing all within an AIM window. Additionally, comments, messages, and mentions from a user’s favorite social networks are integrated into the latest version.
