Who Heard Of Invisible Children Three Years Ago?

Dan Khabie, CEO of Digitaria had, because three scruffy looking guys came knocking on the door of his agency, asking if he could help them use “digital” to “change the world.”

Khabie said they looked like “homeless people,” but they were passionate and committed, and the rest is history, he said during the luncheon keynote presentation at OMMA Global in San Francisco.

Khabie said he knew they were going to do something special, but didn’t necessarily realize then that it would lead ot 1,000 new schools in Uganda, or driving warlord Joseph Kony form Uganda into remote parts of the Congo.

Obviously, it’s one of the biggest stories in the industry – in the whole world, in fact – as a preview of Time magazine’s next issue, featuring Kony on its cover, that Khabie previewed for the audience.
