Healthcare providers and defense contractors were the leading employers posting online jobs on CareerBuilder, HotJobs and Monster during the second quarter of 2003, according to Corzen's Employers
Posting Jobs Scorecard. Among all companies using the three online job boards, recruiters and staffing firms also ranked among the highest job posters.
On a weekly basis, Corzen
(www.corzen.com) tracks the number of jobs posted on leading online sites in more than 90 U.S. metropolitan markets. In a sample of metropolitan markets included in the quarterly Scorecard, healthcare
providers were consistently ranked among the top five users of the three online job boards.
Among healthcare providers across the U.S., Tenet Healthcare posted the most open positions; Kaiser
Permanente and Sutter Health were second and third. Among defense contractors Lockheed Martin Corporation ranked first and Raytheon second.
The five most active staffing or recruiting firms
were Management Recruiters International, followed by Manpower, Spherion, Kforce and Accountemps.
A number of financial firms were also actively posting jobs on the three job boards in the
second quarter. The leaders in this category were Edward Jones, PricewaterhouseCoopers, Bank One, Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu and Ernst & Young.
