It’s an ironic, but symbolic coincidence that Internet Week and Upfront Week are coinciding this year, but Adconion’s Ben Fox just reminded OMMA RTB attendees about the big joke circulating this week, and the Internet side of that punchline may not find it all that humorous.
“it’s that it’s easier to spend $1 billion on TV then it is is to spend $100,000 online,” Fox quipped, adding, It’s said, but it’s true.”
Ultimately, Fox believes RTB will help fix that equation, creating an efficient, centralized place to allow all that money to “flow in an extremely efficient way.”
