The Interactive Advertising Bureau has secured 2 billion impressions for a pro bono campaign aimed at explaining online behavioral advertising to consumers, the group said on Tuesday. The campaign,
Your AdChoices, was created by the umbrella group Digital Advertising Alliance and McCann Worldgroup's MRM. A Web site for Your AdChoices offers videos
about online targeting and links to the AboutAds.info page, where consumers can opt out of online behavioral targeting -- or receiving ads based on the sites they've visited.
Rubicon donated 700 million impressions and 24/Real Media donated 310 million. Other IAB members to donate impressions include AdGent Digital, Ad Monsters, BlogHer, Business
Insider, Buzz Media, Collective Media, Cox Media, Discovery Digital Media, Electronic Arts, Everyday Health Inc., Federated Media, Google, Kelley Blue Book, Microsoft, Netmining, OpenX, Slate,
WeatherBug, WhitePages, Yahoo, and Ziff-Davis.
