AMC’s “Mad Men” got a little madder for its fifth season finale this past Sunday.
The 1960s theme stories around a fictional ad agency recorded its highest finale results so far -- 2.7 million viewers. This was a bit higher than its fifth sesaon average overall -- 2.6 million viewers this season, a 15% hike over season four.
But as a comparison to other top critically reviewed cable series, it was still far behind many -- including HBO’s “True Blood”. The red-soaked drama started up its fifth season with some 5.2 million viewers – also on Sunday night. It was slightly down, 4% below its season four premiere.
