Online parenting magazine Babble, which was acquired by Disney in 2011, has long been known for publishing sophisticated personal essays. The Babble Voices section boasts more
than 50 parent bloggers, including well-known figures like Time’s Joel Stein and The Daily Show’s Samantha Bee. In one provocative post that ran in August, a blogger
wrote about why she gave her son the “girly” name Aubrey. The site also offers reports by respected authors on topics like helping toddlers cope with nightmares, and the latest news about
vaccinations.
