In March 2012, WWE developed a marketing strategy that would integrate social media and fan engagement with their televised programs and live events. With this goal set, wwe.com was redesigned to connect viewers with Echo’s real-time Web platform, powering social log-in, social chatter, real-time comments, live streams and data trending. WWE now has 92.3 million followers on Facebook and Twitter, all while wwe.com’s page views and unique visitors were up 92 percent and 47 percent year-over-year, respectively.
