The San Diego Zoo had originally built a Web site that proved difficult for children to use; therefore, a separate Web site was designed especially for kids. The Kids San Diego Zoo Web site is full of movement and energy, bright colors, friendly animal imagery, and changeable themes that allow kids to travel from the rainforest to the safari. The Web site provides endless entertainment — information about animals, games, activities, videos, and even job opportunities for kids at the zoo. The site had a 1,600 percent increase in home-page traffic in just one year.
