Cortizo-Burgess Heads MEC Integrated Planning

MEC, the WPP media agency has appointed Pele Cortizo-Burgess to the new position of global director, integrated planning.  He starts Sept. 10 and will be based in New York.  Cortizo-Burgess will be responsible for driving MEC’s integrated planning for clients.  He will report to Mel Varley, MEC’s global Chief Strategy Officer and Marla Kaplowitz, CEO of MEC in North America. Cortizo-Burgess joins MEC from sibling agency Grey North America, where he was Chief Strategy Officer. Earlier he worked at Saatchi & Saatchi, Goodby Silverstein & Partners and Chiat\Day.
