The Economist has revealed a total paid-for circulation figure of 1,554,948 – consolidating its print and digital figures from around the world. The figure for the first half of 2012 includes 88,000 paid-for digital edition subscribers (sold separately from the print edition). In addition, The Economist has revealed that 631,967 average unique devices access The Economist app, and it claims 5.6 million social media followers (including 2.8m on Twitter, 1.1m Facebook likes and 1.6m Google+ circle members).
