Dentsu/Aegis Deal Clears Most Antitrust Hurdles,Still Talking To China

Dentsu and Aegis announced this morning that they have obtained all antitrust clearances associated with their proposed merger with the exception of one from the Ministry of Commerce of the People’s Republic of China.

"Dentsu and Aegis remain in constructive dialogue with [the Ministry]with respect to acceptance of the filing required pursuant to the anti-monopoly law," the companies stated, adding that they "remain confident" that their merger plan will become effective by Feb. 28, 2013.
