'Boston Globe' Editor Baron To Exec Editor 'Washington Post'

Martin Baron, the editor of The Boston Globe, will become the new executive editor of The Washington Post, reports the newspaper. He replaces Marcus Brauchli, who becomes vice president of The Washington Post Company, responsible for evaluating new media opportunities, at year's end. Brauchli joined the newspaper several months after being forced to resign as editor of The Wall Street Journal.
