Boston.com this week
launched Insights, an advertising program that will open up sections of Boston.com to New England businesses to promote their content. Boston.com is home to a number of pages and sections relating to
specific industries – such as health, retail, travel, real estate, sports, news, etc. – so there is plenty of opportunity for advertisers to find a home in their niche on Boston.com.
There will also be a business page in which Twitter and Facebook feeds, social media sharing tools, and photo galleries created by advertisers will be featured. Insights blogs will group content
from the advertiser’s industry and location.
“Insights transcends traditional website banner ads to create real conversations between local businesses and customers,” said
Jason Kissell, Boston Globe and Boston.com vice president of advertising sales in a statement. “It offers optimized positioning and brand exposure to advertisers with quality content to promote,
helping our clients build credibility, share their expertise and reach new audiences through the powerful Boston.com network.”

Advertisers that use Insights will be featured weekly in
the print listings of The Boston Globe’s “g” section, as well as a monthly listing in The Boston Sunday Globe. Insights will also be optimized for smartphones.
