SpotXchange Sees Giant RTB Increases

SpotXchange, Inc., the large marketer of digital video ad inventory, says its real time bidding market continues to grow faster than other advertising segments.

The company said its RTB business contributed 10 times the revenue and cited a 596% increase in global bid requests from 2011 to 2012.

That growth was led by new partners-- Google’s DoubleClick Bid Manager, VideoHub, Acuity,, Digilant and Struq.

In addition to growth in bid requests and revenue, from 2011 to 2012 SpotXchange’s RTB marketplace has seen a tenfold increase in global RTB impressions, including a 35% increase in Europe. It expanded its reach to 45 countries, the company said.

 SpotXchange’s RTB solution allows advertisers to appraise ad opportunity individually before placing a media buy.

“Our rapid RTB growth demonstrates that the buy side is shifting additional resources to programmatic buying due to the increased efficiencies and inherent value that it creates,” said Mike Shehan, CEO of SpotXchange, in the press release announcing the gains.
