Forget about music and film at SXSW -- techies are taking over.
Speaking with USA Today, Donald Chesnut, chief experience officer at SapientNitro, says the five-day Austin, Tx.- based
event, which began as a music festival, already looks like Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas. Look for more next year.
"There is an interesting blur between CES and SXSW," says
Chesnut. "You're seeing sensors, cheap hardware, 3-D printers. SXSW will look more like CES next year and the year after that."
So what is a music, film, or TV producer to do? Hey, there is
always ComicCon -- that is until the tech world gets bored with the events it has already moved in on.
