The Rubicon Project today announced the appointment of Patrizio Zanatta as sales director for Southern Europe, effective immediately. Zanatta will be based in Milan, Italy, and is the first Rubicon employee in the country. Zanatta will focus on getting new publishers in the Southern Europe region to use Rubicon's RTB platform. According to the company, he will also be responsible for clients in some Latin American countries in addition to Spain and Italy. 

"[Zanatta] has spent the past five years building excellent relationships with publishers across Europe and providing valuable counsel on how to best leverage technology," stated Rubicon's SVP and GM, International, Jay Stevens.

Prior to joining Rubicon, Zanatta was head of technology for WPP's Real Media Group.
