Email marketing in Vegas doesn't have to stay in Vegas. Palms Casino Resort's Erin Levzow says at the Email Insider Summit segmentation is critical for her business. Half of its customers are
local, older-skewing, slot-machine-playing types, so direct mail is employed to reach them. The other half are "party all night, let's get crazy"-types, so mobile messaging can work.
She says
a focus needs to be mainatined on the customer experience. In that vein, Parallels, Inc.'s Katya Constantine reiterates a theme in the conference kickstarted by Amazon's Donald Parsons that email is a
two-way conversation and that cannot be forgotten.
As for internal operations, Intuit's John McMahon said there was a success with multi-channel marketing that used Facebook and email. That
helped propel more cooperation between disciplines.
