Egyptian comedian Bassem Youssef hosts Jon Stewart tonight on his popular program,
Al Bernameg (“The Program”), sometimes considered the Egyptian
"Daily Show." Stewart came to Youssef's defense in April when the Egyptian government issued an arrest warrant against him for insulting Egyptian President Mohamed Morsi and Islam. Stewart is on
hiatus from
"The Daily Show" in order to direct his first film, the fact-based drama,
Rosewater. The drama is based on Iranian journalist Maziar
Bahari’s 118-day imprisonment for allegedly collaborating with an American spy. The spy was actually one of the fake correspondents from "The Daily Show."
