In his new post, Carrozza is responsible for all ad sales proposals submitted to agencies, inventory portfolio management for Discovery's 14 U.S. networks and supervision of Discovery's direct response unit. He will oversee a staff of 57 and is based at Discovery's advertising sales headquarters in New York City.
Carrozza will report to Joe Abruzzese, president of advertising sales at Discovery Networks, U.S.
Before joining Discovery, Carrozza spent 17 years at ABC and Family Channel, most recently with ABC Family Worldwide Inc., where he was executive vice president, sales planning for ABC Family Channel/Disney Kids Network. As executive vice president, Carrozza supervised sales planners in the New York, Chicago, Detroit, and Los Angeles offices and evaluated all sales proposals. He controlled all commercial inventory and supervised stewardship of all accounts.
