Today marks Day One of the AdTech conference in New York. The New York show is typically jam-packed and this one is no exception. MediaDailyNews is trolling the show and panel discussions and will bring you reports from the front lines.

This morning, eMarketer reports that while the search advertising sector remains strong, non-search ad revenues are also growing at a decent clip.

In fact, the aggregator of online data and intelligence projects that revenues from display, sponsorship, and rich media advertising will grow 10 percent by year-end 2004 and 21 percent in 2005. The researcher says that advertising unrelated to search is expected to hit $3.3 billion this year, and just nudge $4 billion in 2005. Ad revenues emanating from search are likely to hit $3.9 billion this year.

Meanwhile, eMarketer says that total online advertising revenue will reach $9.4 billion in 2004; that number could double in 2005. Really? If that holds true, online advertising at mid-decade is cooking.
