Business travel management company Egencia had a very messy email database back in 2009. So the following year they decided to team up with email services provider Marketo to do something
about it. Together, they began executing the 'Awaken' campaign, a quarterly initiative designed to improve the quality and flexibility of their list. The campaign involved sending contacts
requests to complete forms to make sure that their email addresses were up to date. Subscribers were given incentives to do so. The company is using this updated profile data to send more personalized
