Tumblr, DataSift Partner For Real-Time And Historic Data

DataSift, a social data platform, this morning announced a partnership with Tumblr to make real-time and historic data from Tumblr's "fire hose" available to DataSift subscribers. As a result of the deal, brands and agencies will be able to follow consumer engagement with their brands on Tumblr in real-time.

Derek Gottfrid, VP of product, Tumblr, stated, "Brands have turned to Tumblr for new ways to connect with highly engaged users and engage in brand storytelling." Aaron Strout, managing director of W20 Group, stated that "access to deeper analytics on Tumblr with DataSift represents a huge opportunity for brands to better understand [their] audience...."
