Premium Is The Yin To Native's Yang

That was the Taoist introduction Ken Fadner, founder and publisher of MediaPost, gave to kick things off for the morning session of OMMA Yin, er Premium, in New York this morning.

Explaining the name OMMA Premium, Fadner said it previously was referred to  as OMMA Premium Display, but it the surname was dropped to focus on, well, the premium part.  From MediaPost’s point of view, he said, it was a nice pairing with Day Two, OMMA Native, which will take place tomorrow in New York.

“It’s kind of a yin/yang of the display world,” Fadner noted, adding that  “we at  MediaPost” side more on the yin side of the equaiton.

“We don’t put any of our inventory into an algorithmic exchange world,” Fadner said, adding, “We are advocates of premium publishing, premium display and premium advertising.”
