NYPD Detective Admits to Hacking Fellow Officer's Email

Edwin Vargas, a New York City police detective, has pleaded guilty to hacking into the email of at least one of his fellow NYPD officers. Vargas admitted to paying $4,000 for email hacking services that got him into at least one colleague's email account as well as his mobile phone. The Attorney General released a statement explaining that Vargas used PayPal to hire a criminal to illegally obtain the login details for at least 43 personal email accounts and one mobile phone.
