Yahoo Weather Comes To iPad

When relaunched earlier this year, Yahoo’s Weather app for the iPhone served as a showcase for the type of updated graphics and design the company would bring to other apps as part of a broader effort to revitalize its mobile products.

In that same vein, Yahoo today announced the release of a new Weather app for the iPad, with the slick graphics, Flickr integration, and scrolling feed of the smartphone version. The iPad app also includes a new sharing feature that lets users send weather conditions and photos for any location via text, email, Twitter or Facebook.

Also on the mobile front, Yahoo added a feature to its updated Screen app for iOS that allows users to choose from dozens of media channels to follow, including new content from Buzzfeed Video, The New York Times, and College Humor. Other channels include Saturday Night Live, The Onion, Comedy Central and Wired. Users can tap a “reorder” button to arrange the grid of selected channels they see on the screen, and save specific videos for later viewing.
