Wine education is no laughing matter. Except when it is.

To create awareness for the fine roster of Washington Wine makers, GreenRubin (in partnership with the Washington State Wine Commission) created The Recommendeuer app, featuring Greg Proops from TV’s Whose Line is it Anyway.

The awareness campaign was kicked off by shipping highly designed boxes to wine industry influencers and media. Inside each box? An iPad with a robust app featuring entertaining and informative videos about Washington State wine.

Each app was personalized for its recipient where The Recommendeuer greeted them by name, and dialogues continue today between The Recommendeuer and the iPad recipients on social media.

A mass-market version of the app (iPad/iPhone) is available for aspiring tastemakers.
