DoubleVerify on Monday announced it has acquired the "intellectual property and technology assets" from RealTargeting, a software company that attempts to learn the practices behind
online ad fraud.
RealTargeting’s technology will be integrated into DoubleVerify’s suite, which helps advertisers combat multiple types of fraud, including bot fraud, hidden ads, and impression laundering, per a release. Aaron Doades, founder and CEO of RealTargeting, will join DoubleVerify and will lead future product initiatives.
Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
