Google has updated is Gmail app for iOS. The update includes a new tool that allows users to
fetch mail in the background, so that new mail will be delivered to the inbox even
when the app is not open. For this new feature to work, users must turn notifications off. The update also includes a new sign-in process that makes it easier to sign in across apps.
