DMV Employees in CA Launch Email Campaign Against Their Union's Political Spending

DMV employees in California have launched an email campaign aimed at cutting their union fees. The email went out to to members of the Local 1000 union encouraging them to file as “non-germane objectors” who don't contribute to the union’s political activities. According to the union’s 2013 financial statement, they spend about a third of their income on political efforts.
