Democrats Use Red Alert Email Messages to Increase Fundraising

The Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee raised $4.8 million last week after sending out a series of "red alert" emails to constituents. The emails had the all cap subject line "BREAKING: IMPEACHMENT," and stressed concerns over John Boehner's lawsuit against Barack Obama over executive actions. The dramatic effort worked, as it was the committee’s best week for online fundraising this year.
